English Language Arts

Edep Academy adopted the EngageNY English Language Arts curriculum developed by NYSED with the implementation of the Common Core Learning Standards. Curriculum materials for ELA subjects are structured into four levels of hierarchy, navigated by grade, then by various modules within each grade. Each module is divided into units, and each unit is further divided into lessons.

Algebra 1

Edep Academy uses the Online Pearson enVision Algebra 1 Curriculum. enVision Algebra 1 Common Core ©2018 is a brand-new high school mathematics program built from the ground up for the Traditional Pathway of the Common Core State Standards. Online Curriculum offers a groundbreaking digital experience designed for today’s students, providing anytime access to instructional content both online and offline. Interactive and highly visual examples, powered by Desmos, support active learning among students.

Pre-Algebra 8th Grade Math

Edep Academy utilizes Pearson’s Online enVisionmath 2.0 curriculum for 8th-Grade Math. Pearson enVisionmath2.0 is a comprehensive mathematics curriculum for Grade 8. It builds on the proven effectiveness of the enVision series, supporting coherent, focused, and rigorous mathematics. enVisionmath2.0 for middle school emphasizes conceptual understanding and procedural skills through problem-solving, interactive experiences, and visual learning. Personalized math practice, built-in interventions, and customizable content deepen understanding and improve achievement.

Science

The foundation of Edep Academy Science is a research-based curriculum called PSI (Progressive Science Initiative) through NJCTL. The Progressive Science Initiative (PSI) is a program designed to support high levels of student achievement in physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics, and was developed over ten years by teachers.

United States History

McGraw-Hill Networks™: A Social Studies Learning System is a multiple award-winning program. Bring the people, issues, and events of yesterday to life for the students of today with the first truly integrated print and digital curriculum for Middle School U.S. History – grounded in solid pedagogy with a full suite of teaching and learning tools for a flexible, customized learning experience.

Ancient History

This program aims to teach the life of the last Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) through an innovative approach that investigates His life, both chronologically and philosophically, to draw lessons that can be applied to contemporary issues and universal values.

Core Beliefs

This curriculum is designed to provide an introduction to the Islamic Faith, covering six articles of the Islamic faith and elaborating on each. The course follows an approach that explains the meaning of each article in detail, encouraging students to think, discuss, and ask questions.

Character Education

Character Education class is a brief yet powerful exploration designed to help students develop the core ethical and performance traits essential for success in school, career, and life. The course focuses on practical lessons and self-reflection exercises centered on key character pillars, examining ethical values such as integrity, respect, and fairness, alongside performance traits like responsibility, perseverance, and self-discipline.

Classic Literature

The Classic Literature curriculum provides an academic introduction to the methodologies and foundational texts of literary analysis for an intermediate level of study. Key literary terminology, primary references, and information concerning pivotal authors and critical methodologies are presented in a comprehensible fashion. In addition to theoretical information on literary periods and genres, the close analysis of 16 noble and foundational works will enrich the students' knowledge and nurture their curiosity for further studies. The course adheres to the NEICC Curriculum Mapping and utilizes the textbook for Introduction to Literary Analysis.

Essentials of Practice

This program serves as a form of guidance for today's Muslim youth, providing a guide for their everyday lives and a compilation of useful information related to various forms of worship, accompanied by informative explanations presented in a clear and understandable manner. The curriculum covers the five pillars of Islam, including purification for prayer, details of the five daily prayers (salah), basic information on giving charity, performing the pilgrimage, and holy days and nights.

Physical Education

The Edep Academy Physical Education class is dedicated to promoting lifelong physical competence and a positive attitude toward physical activity by offering a dynamic and exceptionally diverse range of sports and activities. Students deeply enjoy the rotating curriculum, which moves beyond traditional gym class staples to include unique options such as soccer, ping pong, karate, volleyball, basketball, and core fitness training. This rich selection ensures that every student can discover an activity they genuinely love, fostering strong teamwork, sportsmanship, and the development of essential skills for a healthy, active lifestyle.

Arabic

A Brand-New Comprehensive Arabic course utilizes modern teaching techniques, supported and integrated by digital media and a dedicated website. With its up-to-date teaching techniques, its simple-to-complex approach that helps learners to feel comfortable and ready to face the challenge of learning a new language, its illustrative artwork, its simple and easy-to-follow layout, along with high-quality print, and supported by dedicated online materials including skills practice, progress tests, and glossaries in 15 languages to support both students and teachers.

Turkish

The Edep Academy Turkish Language class offers an immersive and culturally rich learning experience, guiding students from absolute beginners to confident communicators. Our curriculum is designed to rapidly build proficiency in the four core language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing, while introducing the fascinating intricacies of Turkish grammar, such as vowel harmony and the agglutinative structure. Beyond the language itself, students will delve into the vibrant culture, history, and traditions of Turkey, using interactive activities, authentic media, and engaging discussions. This class opens a door to over 80 million speakers, preparing students for travel, academic pursuits, or professional interactions across Eurasia, and fostering a deep appreciation for this dynamic and historically rich language.
